This handy, extremely lightweight plant fibre will take instant sparks from your ferro rod or flint and steel, but be prepared, it burns extremely quickly. Kapok is a type of plant 'down' and can be used as a substitute to bulrush (cattails in the US) Fire-weed or other similar dry plant downs with similar properties.
